I graduated with a Ph.D. from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Stanford University, under the supervision of Dr. Erin MacDonald. My research lies in the interaction of human-centered design and sustainability. Specifically, I am interested in employing and developing quantitative approaches, i.e., computational analysis and methods, to understand human behaviors in the design of sustainable products and systems.
I received an M.S. degree from the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics at Stanford University. Before coming to Stanford, I completed my B.S. in Aerospace Engineering at Purdue University, with a particular focus on aerosystems engineering.
I was honored to be on the Graduate Student Council (GSC) of Stanford University from 2017 to 2023, serving as the co-chair from 2018 to 2020 and its faculty senate liaison from 2022 to 2023. I was also the co-president of the Association of Chinese Students and Scholars at Stanford (ACSSS) from 2018 to 2019.
